How to make a WiFi adapter for a computer from a router

Hello everyone, when you connect to the Internet, recently the provider often gives you a router for rent. What of it can be done if you already have your router, that he would not dust off without a deal? The answer is, you can use it as a WiFi adapter for your computer. To do this on the computer, there must be an ethernet interface, to connect the wired network. Below it will be written how to do it.

I'll show you an example of a router OnLime provider, I do not know the original model, but it's similar in appearance to the DLink DIR 300.

First go to the web interface of the router and go to the advanced settings - the basic settings, here you need to set the router's address, gateway, mask, and disable DHCP. Save the settings. If the address is changed, then of course you will need to reconnect.

Next, go to the WiFi network menu select the mode of operation - the client, enter our SSID and password. Save the settings.

After that, we disconnect the network cable from the router, and you can try to access it from the device on the network at the address that was given to it, if everything turned out (the router should not be connected to a wired network), then you can connect it with a wire to the computer (you need to connect it to the LAN Interface on the router), and the computer will receive the network from the main router.
